Essential oils are fabulous for a number of reasons because they have so many uses. They can be used as a natural perfume, for aromatherapy, in cooking, for cleaning and cleansing, and in natural DIY beauty and cleaning products.
DoTerra Essential Oils are CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) oils and have a high enough quality that some of them can be ingested. For each oil, the company shows whether it can be used topically, aromatically, or internally. I have loved these oils and continue to build a nice little collection. I highly recommend their introductory kit that contains lemon, peppermint, and lavender if you are just starting out! You can order them under the ‘shop’ section HERE.
Himalayan Salt Lamp
I am in love with my salt lamp; the lighting is so beautiful and perfect for winding down before bed. Himalayan salt lamps are attributed to purifying the air by releasing negative ions into the atmosphere that neutralize the positive ions emitted from different types of radiation (like from cell phones and computers). They also make for great gifts; I bought lamps for three people for Christmas last year!
I buy mine from the Himalayan Salt Shop because they are authentic and high quality. There are definitely cheaper ones out there, but quality could be compromised. For how much I use this lamp, it’s totally worth the investment.
Glass is a much better option than plastic for storing food and water. I decided to avoid plastics altogether because although some plastics claim to be BPA-free, different chemicals may still be present and leach into your water or food.
Life Factory Water Bottle – This water bottle is my favorite because it has a nice silicone sleeve and a handle on top that makes it easy to carry around. I also like using a glass water bottle because I can put essential oils (like lemon or wild orange) in my water. High-quality CPTG oils, the only ones your should be ingesting, need to be put in glass or they can actually break down the plastic if in a plastic vessel!
